September 8th - Porcelain Doll "Painting"
A porcelain doll that was my grandmother's, made to look like a watercolor painting. Making things look like paintings saves me sometimes, because my 2mp cell phone camera doesn't always take good shots, and I am having trouble re-installing the neat image plug-in on my computer and am currently using PS 7!

I think if you turned it into sepia, it could look like it was taken 100 years ago. :-)
Yep, they don't make dolls like that anymore. Looking at the fine detail work shows the effort put into these old dolls. You're lucky to have it! And your "art" treatment for it is just perfect.
The effect you've given the picture works well.
She does look cute. My daughter has a bunch of these from my mother-in-law. She never played with them though, cos they don't lend themselves to cuddling. Interesting painterly effect.
