January 11th - Still Life


This is an orange and a tangerine from my mother-in-law's yard. I love how it looks as though the orange is the "mom" and the tangerine is the "baby" being protected by the leaf "arms." See it?

This is one of my favourites in your gallery so far. The simple addition of leaves changes how one usually pictures oranges.

You prove green & orange to be a very warm and pleasing combination. It made me realize that green & red or orange & blue are much harsher.

That is a lovely setup, the baby looks about to roll away...The colour and textures are well captured.
