July 1st - Zucchini

Welcome to my photo blog! :)

Look! I'm growing actual food! :)
This is my zucchini. I also have a yellow bell pepper, which I may photograph tomorrow, and am also growing lettuce, cucumbers, two other kinds of squash, and three kinds of beans. There are many other veggies I've planted, but they haven't sprouted yet, so I can't say I'm growing them, yet! ;)
All of these are in containers, as I don't have room in the ground for them, but they don't seem to be minding. Maybe I'll photograph this zucchini again when I prepare it for eating! Yummy!

I heart zucchini!

Crap... now I already told you what I'm gonna do for the letter 'Z'. The flower is almost bigger than the zucchini itself. I didn't know they looked like that in the wild :)

Wow, I have never seen a zucchini flower before. That's amazing. I never thought before how they might look! Very cool.

Cool that the flower is bigger than the zucchini until it withers and falls off, which is true of most men! :)

This reminds me of my grandmother's garden. I can almost feel and smell the veggies. :)

If you let it grow for another week, you'll have a baseball bat!
They're very prolific - start looking up zucchini recipes. www.recipezaar.com is a good place to start. :)

Mmmm, zucchini. Probably good you didn't plant it in the yard because they will take over. You'll be leaving zucchini on people's doorsteps, well that's what we did.
