July 2nd - Goose
This goose let me get really close to him. There were well over a hundred geese at the lake today, all in the same area, and only one was white (the rest were Canadian Geese). My hubby told me one time, that he was talking to this guy at the lake who said he is the only person this white goose will let pet him. My daughter and I tried to get close enough to him, but he didn't let us get closer than about 3 feet. That was close enough for a pretty good shot of him, anyway. No, we didn't get bit. :D

Get out of the way if that thing sneezes :)
Great detail Phrog. Very nice.
Pretty goose! Consider yourself lucky though - geese can be really aggressive. I had one steal the fried chicken right out of my hand at a lake-side picnic once! :)
That is a very nice photo! My friend had a problem with geese leaving 'presents' all over the place at her lakeside camp. Apparently, if they can't see grass from the water then they won't come to shore there...she had to 'hide' her grass! lol
Very cute! And I do love that zucchini flower too. Nice one.
Nice one! Good find.
Very cute photo! :o)
Nice capture. We used to keep geese as 'guard dogs'...they are really good, the unfortunate side effect though was the poop...everywhere!
Lovely shot - love the detail!!
Nice photo, not sure I’ve ever seen a white one. We have a ton of the Canadian version milling around at work. It always interesting when they crowd the sidewalk on the way into the building. They are mean buggers. They hiss and honk and nip at you as you walk by, which is already difficult considering the mine field of poop. I haven’t seen them in a few weeks, maybe the grounds folks finally ran them off!
Great pic...the beek is eyecatching at first glance.
Nice portrait, love the detail
Wonderful shot! (When we get close to geese they chase us off... :) )
Fabulous detail! I didn't know geese had yellow rings around their eyes...
Very nice shot. My brother has 4 geese, one gray and 3 white. The 3 white ones pick on the gray one. They make a lot of noise and start to come towards you but they never let you get this close!
Amazing how you got to get close enough without getting hurt.
