January 12th - Canadian Goose

Here is a Canadian Goose that was at Lake El Estero, today. I think they're very pretty birds. Notice how you can see clear through it's nostrils!

I especially like this image, because I didn't have to crop it or anything. I only adjusted the levels a bit in Photoshop, and boosted the saturation a tad. I usually crop my images, so getting a good composition that doesn't need cropping is a real bonus, for me! ;)

And a great bonus it is too! This is a lovely photograph. It is well compossed and the detail is spectacular. A photo to be proud of.

Very nice shot, great details, composition, dof, and an interesting bird. Well done!

I hardly ever get a shot I don't want to crop but I am working on them.

Great picture. I love every single bit of it. It's got a great catchlight in the eye, great DoF, exposure is spot on. Brilliant piece of photography.

What a good looking bird to pose for you like that, he looks a bit sleepy.
Great capture and a very natural looking photograph that has turned out amazingly well.

The sparkle in the eye and the blurred background make this perfect.....he looks so serene

Getting a good composition in camera is a real challenge, but well worth achieving. Perhaps a good theme or technique to work on for the next challenge! IT makes you think more, and when you are done shooting, you don't need to lose half your image size just to make the composition work.
Love this one. Now get a nose ring for that bird. He's asking for it with nostrils like that!
